Miley Cyrus Is Taking 'Me Time' Away From Twitter
Miley Cyrus is taking yet another break from Twitter. While the 18-year-old star hasn't deleted her entire account, she recently got rid of the social-networking application from her phone.
"Sorry I havent been tweeting as much!" she wrote on Friday. "I deleted the twitter ap off of my phone. Just taking some "ME" time! =] love yall."
Miley has had a love/hate relationship with the social platform for years. In 2009, the singer/actress went as far as deleting her Twitter account at the suggestion of boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. She explained, "FYI Liam doesn't have a twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason."
Miley made a rap video explaining why she made the extreme move, but was back on the platform earlier this year, sending messages from Rock Mafia's Twitter. Then, in April, the star returned to tweeting, explaining, "I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning."
Miley hasn't tweeted since November 4, when she tweeted about her Halloween costume (pictured above), so it looks like she's taking her latest break seriously. But don't worry, fans -- we're sure she'll be back in action soon enough.

Biz does its bit to help military vets
As the U.S. and other countries observe Veterans Day on Friday, the Entertainment Industry Foundation and other bizzers are stepping up outreach efforts to aid veterans.
The EIF is launching a major fund-raising campaign dubbed Rise and Honor, to help support reintegration services for veterans and their families. The campaign will have its first big public push with a special edition of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to air Friday on ABC, highlighting the struggles that veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan have faced in recent years.
The Rise and Honor campaign will benefit a range of veteran service organizations including the USO, Fisher House Foundation, Hire Heroes USA and Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
Non-profit org Service Nation, whose supporters include first lady Michelle Obama, has enlisted Dwayne Johnson, Miley Cyrus, Brandon Routh and others to help promote its nationwide "11/11/11" event, which will mount large-scale service events in 11 cities. Those projects include landscaping and beautification work at the Veterans Administration building in West L.A., and a USO Care Package bundling drive at Yankee Stadium to aid homeless vets.
"There's no better way to say thank you (to servicemen and women) … than to actually serve alongside them here at home," says Chris Marvin, Service Nation's director of civilian-military partnerships that runs the Mission Serve initiative.
The Mission Serve initiative was one of the organizers of the veterans' job fair held on the Sony Pictures studio lot in July that drew the participation of the Prince William and Catherine during their West Coast summer swing.
The involvement of celebs is key to raising awareness of veterans' issues, Marvin said. Johnson and Cyrus have been promoting the 11/11/11 events among their legion of social media followers, Marvin noted. The goal is to spark a national conversation about the importance of honoring the service and sacrifices made by military service members and their families.
There are "no better storytellers out there than Hollywood," Marvin says.

Miley Cyrus Declines Marine Corps Ball Invitation
The Disney star was asked out to the Marine Corps ball this weekend aboard Camp Pendleton, but won't make it because of scheduling conflicts, a base spokesman said. In this video shot by a fellow Camp Pendleton Marine, Pfc. Ian Hart asked singer Miley Cyrus to the Marine Corps ball in November. Miley Cyrus might be leaving a Camp Pendleton Marine good and broken after declining a video request to attend Saturday's Marine Corps Ball on the base. A scheduling conflict has kept the 18-year-old singer and actress from attending to ball with Lance Cpl. Ian Hart, a base spokesman told Patch in an email. Hart's request was part of a trend by Marines asking celebrities to the ball. Some of the celebrities have accepted the requests.

Miley Cyrus Is Dracula's Daughter Helping to run Hotel Transylvania
Having Billy Ray Cyrus as your old man must be difficult enough (except when he's moulding you into a world-famous and ultra-wealthy TV star), but Miley Cyrus' new screen dad is even more embarrassing: she'll be voicing Dracula's daughter in Sony's animated Hotel Transylvania.
The film is all about the famous count (Adam Sandler) running a resort for famous monsters, away from the prying eyes and burning torches of the normal world. Dracula is fiercely protective of his little girl Mavis, whose adventurous spirit he fears will take her away from him. But he then has to deal with Mavis taking a shine to an "ordinary guy" who stumbles into the hotel. You know how it is: your carriage breaks down in a thunderstorm, and there's a light over at the Dracula place...
There's a bit of the Munsters about the normal-girl-living-among-monsters scenario, and not a little Mad Monster Party in general. But there's some interesting voice talent working alongside Sandler and Cyrus: Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon are playing werewolf couple Wayne and Wanda; Cee Lo Green is Murray the Mummy; David Spade is Griffin the Invisible Man; Kevin James and Fran Drescher are Frankenstein's Monster and his bride; and David Koechner is Quasimodo. Jonathan the normal guy is voiced by Andy Samberg.
And the director is the awesome Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack), although the CG animation won't quite be along the lines of his usual signature style. Check out Sony's reveal of Mavis Dracula below, for an idea of the film's look. Hotel Transylvania should be released in September 2012. The Social Network star and Miley Cyrus‘ brother have been quietly seeing each other for several months, but made their first appearance together on the red carpet at Nylon’s party in early May.
Trace was previously linked to Demi Lovato. It was rumored Brenda briefly dated Joe Jonas.

In total, Miley has been nominated for 59 awards, and out of these, she has won 41! I think this is an amazing achievement for Miley, considering she is only 18 years old.
Miley is falling in love with Liam
Miley Cyrus has fallen in love with her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. The teen queen posted a lovely quote on Twitter, signifying that the two are very serious about each other and that they have reached the “I love you” stage.
“‘Gravitation can not be held responsible for people falling in love,’ Albert Einstein,” wrote Cyrus. This is actually a popular Einstein quote, and it’s interesting that the singer decided to post it on Saturday night. Sure, it could have another meaning for Miley, but it sounds like she was referring to her budding relationship with the Hunger Games star.
Miley and Liam have broken up and gotten back together. The two got extremely close while working side by side on The Last Song. It was then that they took their on-screen chemistry into the real world, and they really do make an adorable couple.
People have suspected that their relationship is very serious, there have even been some rumors about an engagement. However, Miley and Liam are just enjoying each other’s company… and falling in love!

Kelly Preston: Scientology Got Me Through Jett's Death
Kelly Preston and John Travolta experienced every parent's nightmare when their autistic son Jett died of a seizure at 16 years old. In a new interview with Health magazine, Preston, 48, reveals how she got through the tough times to appreciate the joy of motherhood once more. And, when asked who helped her the most, Preston says she relied on the trifecta of family, friends and religion.
"Johnny is definitely my rock," says Preston, who married Travolta, now 57, in 1991. "Kirstie (Alley) is one of my absolute best friends. My mom, my brother. And to be honest, the Scientology center. I don't know if I would have made it through without it. We've been able to navigate through it and to come to a place that is a lot better."
The year after Jett's death in 2009, the Travoltas learned that Kelly was pregnant once more. And on Nov. 23, 2010, she gave birth to baby Benjamin.
"We had been trying for quite a few years, and then of course there was a time when we weren't, and then we started trying again," explains Preston. "When I found out I was pregnant, I was floored. I'd snuck out of bed and then came back and woke Johnny up in bed. We both started crying. It was wonderful."
Their older daughter, Ella Bleu, 11, was also grateful -- for a different reason.
"I absolutely adore my kids. Johnny and I love them up constantly," says the proud mom. "Ella's like, 'Mom, ugh! Thank god you had Ben because now he can take some of the kisses!' And Johnny sings to them -- a lot of Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand."
The actress, who will soon star alongside her husband and daughter in Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father, says she's "always wanted to be a mother," ever since she would babysit at age 11. She even has a tendency to adopt those around her, like Last Song costar Miley Cyrus.
"Miley texted me the other day, and said, 'I'm still taking my vitamins, Second Mama!' She calls me Second Mama," Preston boasts.
To honor Jett's memory, Preston and Travolta have founded the Jett Travolta Foundation to help children with special needs. Preston says that losing Jett has made her grateful for every moment of being a mother -- and taught her some life lessons that she keeps in mind every day.
"Don't sweat the small things. Love your kids like it could be the last moment," says Preston. "Johnny and I really give our kids the space to discover who they are -- to make their own choices and to experience the joys of life."

British soul singer Adele has outshone pop powerhouse Lady Gaga, taking out top honours on both the ARIA singles and album charts.
The UK sweetheart’s double platinum album 21 has recorded its seventh consecutive week at number one, equalling Pink’s Greatest Hits…So Far as the longest-running number one record of 2011.
She has also ended LMFAO’s incredible 10-week run at the top of the singles chart, with her second single Someone Like You clambering over Party Rock Anthem to peak at number one.
With her hit single Rolling In The Deep staying steady at fourth position, Adele now has two of the top four singles spots.
Lady Gaga, whose highest ranked single The Edge of Glory sits back at 21, has fallen to fourth spot on the albums chart thanks to new releases from indie folk band Bon Iver and Eminem-led hip-hop duo Bad Meets Evil.
Bon Iver’s self-titled sophomore release debuted at number two, followed closely by Hell: The Sequel from Bad Meets Evil at three.
Rounding out the top five is American rapper Pitbull, whose latest release Planet Pit has served him his first top 10 album in Australia.
Also debuting this week was The Grate’s third release Secret Rituals, which entered in at number 11.
Meanwhile Miley Cyrus, who is currently touring Australia, has re-emerged at number 30 on the charts with her year-old album Can’t be Tamed.

Paris made a rude gesture at the waiting photographers but quickly remembered her manners and switched to a Miley Cyrus-style peace sign.
In a case of very mistaken identity, one of the snappers called out, “Miley, Miley, one picture Miley!” Which prompted Prince Michael to absolutely crack up laughing.

Miley Cyrus likes to dress up, when she can keep her clothes on that is. She could crack a whip in her latest outfit. She poses in skintight black latex, looking every bit the dominatrix.
The latest photo to hit the Internet follows a racy photo that Miley Tweeted of herself over the social media site only a month after rejoining Twitter, supposedly to promote her upcoming tour.

That photo shows Miley wearing a thin, lace spaghetti-strap top that exposes about half of her underarm tattoo.
“Rocking piggy tails for the first time since like 6th grade! I love summer time,” she Tweeted with the photo.
Miley quit Twitter in a huff last year, abandoning more than two million fans, after claiming she wanted to keep her private life private.
She’s left behind her squeaky clean image from her Hannah Montana Disney days and has been exploring different looks and attitudes in her music.
Last week, she appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show and duetted with hard rocker Joan Jett.
The 18-year-old singer seems determined to push the envelope on her career to avoid getting left behind by Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Katy Perry and other pop stars.
Miley however, is blurring the line on her music and no longer easily fits either the pop or country genre.
Where she ends up is anyone’s guess

She acknowledged recently that she’s bypassing the United States on her current tour because she doesn’t feel there is enough support for it.

Sharon and Kelly Osbourne were guests on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' (weekdays, 9PM ET on CNN), and they didn't hold back when asked about comments Billy Ray Cyrus made a couple months ago in 'GQ' about how he wished he had kept his daughter Miley Cyrus out of show business because 'Hannah Montana' destroyed his family.
"I think that's a really inappropriate thing for someone to say, especially when what they did together gave that person their career back," Kelly, who is close friends with Miley, said of Billy Ray's remarks. "It's not fair to do that to your own child."
Sharon agreed with Kelly. "I don't think he should have done that in print."
Kelly then added that Billy Ray's comment "discredits everything that [Miley's] done in her life."
"She made him relevant again," Sharon chimed in, echoing what Kelly had said earlier.
Well, if the Cyrus family really was destroyed by Miley's show-business success, it looks like she has another family she could join.

Miley Cyrus sold over 70,000 tickets on the first day of sales for her first Australian tour.
Miley will perform in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and perth from June 21.
Promoter Paul Dainty has added extra shows in Sydney and Melbourne following the demand. “Miley has been a hit at the Australian box office this past week with extra concerts added and all shows close to sold out,” he said. “She has an enormous number of fans in Australia and they should look forward to a great concert with an impressive production.”

'Make-A-Wish' kid jets to Hollywood to see Miley Cyrus
April 19--Haley Reseter, to quote Hannah Montana, was most definitely enjoying the "Best of Both Worlds" on Monday afternoon in Morgantown.
She got to cruise around town in the same white stretch limo that was whisking her off to Pittsburgh International Airport for her first plane ride.

To meet Miley Cyrus, the singer and actress who sang the above-mentioned song as the above-mentioned character in the popular TV show on the Disney channel.
"Oh, boy, I don't know what I'll say when I see her," Haley said. "I might have to give her a hug."
Haley, 10, of Westover, is getting her trip through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern West Virginia, the nonprofit organization that grants trips, celebrity meetings and other "wish" adventures for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Superior Ford Lincoln, of Sabraton, is granting the wish, which includes a visit with the star during a concert rehearsal and a sight-seeing trip to Universal Studios.
Accompanying Haley are her mom, Faith Reseter, and Faith's mom, Sue DeWitt.
Faith laughed as she watched Haley living it up in the limo. Her daughter, she said, is heavyduty into Hannah, all the way.
"We've got all the movies on DVD and all the music on CD," she said. "We know all the words to all the songs."
When Haley was four, Faith said, she suffered a bout of encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain that robbed her of her mobility.

Miley Cyrus and her father, former country great Billy Ray, are like teenagers going steady. They fight; they break up; they make up; and then they fight again. Billy Ray, who recently patched things up with his uber-famous daughter after patching things up with his not-so-famous wife, Tish, is now reportedly upset over his daughter's crush on the ultimate celebrity "bad boy."
Yes, Billy Ray fears that Miley is "obsessed" with Charlie Sheen. That seems a tad far-fetched. And even if it's true, the odds of it developing into anything real are probably more than a zillion to one. The two stars have never even met. Furthermore, the twice-married Sheen is more than twice Miley's age. Still... weirder things have happened. Look at Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn. And of course, there's Miley's "relationship" with Sheen on Twitter.
Miley Cyrus and the former Two and a Half Men star are "now BFFs on Twitter." In fact, Miley has admitted that her principal reason for returning to the social media arena was "to follow Charlie Sheen."
“Do not fear… " gushed the former Hannah Montana star in her first tweet, "the Sheenius is here!"
When the so-called winning warlock tweeted Miley back, calling her "epic" and thanking her for her love, Miley responded:

Cute. But Billy Ray is not amused. According to one source, he "knows that Miley is probably just having some fun... (but) he worries that her young followers might not be in on the joke.” He thinks she is, once again, "being irresponsible." And he fears that her gushing, adoring Twitter friendship with Charlie Sheen "is setting a bad example for her young fans."
Goodness. For the umpteenth time, Miley Cyrus is an adult and she can befriend anyone she chooses. Get a grip, Billy Ray. If the words "third" and "goddess" ever start appearing together in your daughter's tweets, you can freak out. Till then, grow up.

The 18-year-old teen queen did a medley of the rock legend’s biggest hits including: “Bad Reputation,” “Cherry Bomb,” and “I Hate Myself.”
The Oprah episode was dedicated to the Rock Goddesses of the ’70s and ’80s and featured appearances from Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Pat Benatar, and Avril Lavigne.

Miley Cyrus' "Rose" Will Finally Bloom!

Miley Cyrus' cover of the Poison anthem "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" is finally set to hit the radio...
But it's not coming to the U.S. The single will only be hitting Australian radio stations.
The singer's label rep exclusively tells E! News that "Every Rose" is being released "in conjunction with Miley's upcoming tour there. It is Australia only."
Cyrus' remake of the 1988 hit was supposed to be released at the end of last year as the second single off her album Can't Be Tamed, but was quickly shelved due to romance rumors linking Michaels to Miley's mom, Tish.
"It really bummed me out," Michaels said of the ordeal. "I worked hard on that." Just last month, the rocker confirmed to us the song would likely be getting a release date later this year.
We're told the single will be slightly remixed to have a "more dramatic feel."
Miley's tour kicks off in Ecuador on April 29 and "Every Rose" will be released Down Under slightly before her June 21 stop in Brisbane.

Miley Cyrus and rocker Joan Jett had dinner at Table Fifty-Two on Thursday while in town for an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." This was Cyrus' second time dining at the Gold Coast restaurant, which is co-owned by former Winfrey chef Art Smith.
"(Cyrus) loves our fried chicken," Smith said by email on Friday. "Our food reminds her of home."

Lawyers: Makers of Miley Sex Doll Should Get Ready To Pay Up
The makers of a Miley Cyrus sex doll should prepare for a world of legal hurt. Sources close to the former Disney star tell PopEater Miley's camp is not taking the sale of a pornographic doll made in her image lightly and are preparing the to take legal action against the seller, Pipedream Products.
Any case filed by the Cyrus camp is sure to have legs. Legal experts say they will be able to wipe the floor with Pipedream.
"The doll manufacturer is using Miley's name and image to make profit without her consent. That's legally actionable, and if they get sued they are on shaky ground," trial attorney Stacy Schneider explains. "The company should be prepared to turn over all the profits they're making off the sale of the doll to Miley and then some for damages for misappropriating her image."
The doll is reportedly flying off the shelves and doesn't reflect the 18 year old in a positive light (but then what sex doll does). The "Finally Mylie" doll contains "3 achey love holes," for consumers to do what they wish.
"It would be one thing if this were a spoof or a parody. This is neither. It is a money grab--with a product that portrays her is less than a favorable light. If her camp seeks an injunction--which would prevent further distribution and seeks an accounting of profits, they would have a great case," asserts attorney Joey Jackson.
Pipedream says they are ready for the legal battle to begin playing out. Pipedream's Kevin Johnson said earlier this week, "I have seen those [lawsuit] rumors circling online.That probably means it will happen soon enough."
Probably sooner than he thinks.
